Holiday Bokeh

Took the pot from my previous post and waited ’till nighttime to try and capture the pot with a bokeh effect from our Christmas Lights in the living room. I decided a holiday-themed color palette for my still-life photos, but was only limited with the colors red, gold/yellow/orange-y and green for my lights.

The pot in this particular shot was dimly lighted with a yellow light. That’s about it.

For a backstory, we’ve always had a Christmas tree and some lights inside the house. Sure, a few more like a “merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” sign was in the living room but that’s about it. My mom broke down our (artificial) Christmas tree and made separate designs for this year, in which my example would be this pot. My mom put in a short branch from the original  tree onto the pot and just a few additional stuff like the ribbon and voila!
