Pot of Christmas Craft

Since my brief getaway here at my hometown, I looked for good subjects to use for me to practice “still-life” photography–with all the [cheap] setup (will post a photo of the setup).

My mom looked for antique objects should could use to decorate the house, and even just to add a Christmas touch to the house: like a pot full of Christmas decor elements namely: poinsettia, bells, those [Christmas] leaves and more.

Basically, I wanted to set up my subject to appear with a play of lights. So I took a warm white bulb, used window light  for the green foil to reflect on the pot above the tabletop. So my Canon 350D got this.

I’ve put in the black side of an illustration board for the backdrop.

Any feedback to make this a better shot is appreciated!
