Indeed. Today was a timely visit to the church I’m always hearing about when I come back home to this part of the region (Sorsogon Province), also since Black Saturday is still part of the Holy Week.
The Bicol region of the Philippines is home to a lot of old Spanish-era churches and cathedrals. One of the oldest churches I know of is the one in the photos below. Apparently, the Barcelona Church was built during the Spanish colonial period–but what amazes me are the materials used to make the church: beaten egg whites, coral stones and wine called “tuba” if you can believe it!
I played with the camera, making the church a good subject for a photo today.
Tell me what you think!
